An independent heating system is sometimes necessary in areas cut off from civilization. In the context of a constant increase in energy prices, the choice in favor of autonomous heating devices is increasingly being made by owners of country houses.
Solid fuel units are gaining popularity. This forces manufacturers to design new, highly efficient models. One of the Russian manufacturing companies also mastered the production of in-demand products and introduced Medved solid fuel boilers to the market.

Installation features
Single-circuit boilers less than 60 Watt are unpretentious in installation. You can place them in the kitchen or bathroom, since the “Bear” series does not exceed the size of a standard washing machine.
Important: leave the space on the sides and front of the device free, outlining an illusory “square” 1 meter from the boiler on each side. And it is advisable to take care of protecting the walls from thermal effects so that your wallpaper does not catch fire if the boiler radiator gets very hot.
How to heat properly
The combustion process consists of two procedures: ignition and rebooting of the boiler.
Kindling procedure:
- Raise the air supply tube by pulling the cable. There is a hook on the bottom of the body for fixing. You need to secure the cable to it.
- Open the chimney damper.
- Set the thermostat to 95°C.
- Open the loading chamber door.
- Load fuel into the chamber up to the distributor.
- Light a fire on top of the fuel.
- Close the loading window, leaving a gap of a few centimeters.
- When the fire flares up, close the loading chamber.
- Remove the cable from the hook and leave it in a free position.
- The air distributor should release and fall onto the burning fuel.
While operating, the device will consume fuel material. As it burns out, the cable handle will rise. When the reserve is developed, the water temperature will drop. You will need to make a replenishment.
Reloading is done like this:
- Move the draft control to the maximum position.
- Prepare a container for coals and ash, a scoop and a poker.
- Open the loading chamber door, then the ash chamber window.
- Remove the coals and ash into a container, avoiding spillage.
- Load the firebox with a new portion of fuel material.
- Melt using some of the coals from the previous bookmark.
Important points:
- Firewood and briquettes are stacked horizontally and as closely as possible to each other: long logs are placed in the middle, short ones - along the edges.
- When the chamber is not fully loaded, the combustion time is reduced.
- You should not load the fireplace or leave unburned residues in it if you do not plan to ignite, there is a risk of the coals from the previous combustion cycle catching fire.
If necessary, the boiler can be stopped.
To carry out the operation you will need:
- Set the thermostat to 35°C.
- Raise the distributor by pulling the cable.
- Make sure that combustion and smoldering have ended by periodically opening the combustion chamber door and looking inside.
- If necessary, close the chimney damper.
- Do not leave for half an hour and monitor the condition of the boiler.
- If the fire reoccurs, do everything again.
During operation, it is allowed to perform: ignition, temperature adjustment, extinguishing and cleaning the boiler. Other maintenance and repair operations should only be carried out by specialists.
Other types of boilers Bear - gas
Gas heating appliances “Bear” are produced by ProTherm (Slovakia). These are cast iron boilers with a power of up to 49 kW, designed for heating residential and industrial premises, as well as for preparing hot water.
