This is monitored automatically, and if any problems occur, the draft sensor will trigger and the boiler will be blocked. The main factors due to which there is no draft: narrowed size of the smoke exhaust duct, improper installation, clogging, ice on the walls. Narrowing the size of the chimney channel leads to weak draft. The length of the chimney pipe is exceeded. It is recommended that you carefully study the installation instructions for the device and check that all necessary requirements are met. A sufficiently long horizontal section of the smoke exhaust pipe can lead to a lack of necessary draft. Failure of the pneumatic relay-traction sensor - When a vacuum occurs in the supply tube, a soft click will be heard. As a rule, the problem is eliminated by using a feed tap, which is installed to fill the system with coolant. If the emergency situation occurs again, then there may be a fluid leak. The hydraulic pump, main heat exchanger, excess pressure relief valve, worn sealing elements, make-up valve and other parts may be leaking. Flame ignition or ionization electrode. It can be separate or combined. The main problems may be related to contamination (oxidation) of the electrode or its gap relative to the burner. A dirty ionization electrode prevents the board from detecting the presence of a flame and operation stops.

High voltage wire. High voltage is generated by a transformer and transmitted through a wire to the electrode, where it pierces the air gap between the burner and the electrode with a spark. If a characteristic crackling sound is heard, but a spark on the burner is not visually visible, it is possible that the breakdown is occurring somewhere else. For example, there is a microcrack in the insulation of a high-voltage wire, and a breakdown occurs at the point where the insulation on the housing is broken.

Problems with electrical connection. The presence of parasitic potentials on the boiler body, lack of grounding or low voltage of the supply network can cause problems with ignition. I often hear the argument: everything used to work without grounding. No one will understand how the boiler worked without grounding. According to the operating instructions, this must be done! For normal operation of the boiler there must be: a network voltage of at least 180 volts, a potential between the neutral and ground wires of up to 10 volts, and the presence of grounding.

Lack of gas on the burner. The gas valve controls the gas supply to the burner: it opens and modulates (gas dosing). The gas valves are regulated and controlled by a control board. Accordingly, the cause of the problems may be a malfunction of the valve (or the need for adjustment), its electrical part, or the control circuit on the board. This device should be checked by a specialist. The lack of gas can also be due to external factors: a faulty meter, dirty filters.

Control board. In some cases, lack of ignition or flame control is caused by a malfunction of the boiler main board. This can be considered after the other possible causes as described above have been accurately checked.

After all, scale has a structure that limits the passage of coolant and also takes away its heat. This is due to the thermal conductivity of salt deposits - it is much lower than the thermal conductivity of the metal from which the heat exchanger is made. Therefore, the boiler does not heat hot water well.

It is also possible that a piece has come away from the salt deposit, blocking the flow completely, which leads to a complete stop in the supply of hot water.

Structurally, the sensor is a paddle device through which water flows, which is the condition for its operation, because it sends a signal about the presence of a flow to the electronics, which, in turn, starts heating the water again. It happens that the sensor gets clogged, but it can be cleared of the blockage without removing it.

The device has the shape of a cylinder and is located near the circulation pump. To start cleaning, open and close the tap near the sensor. If this does not help, then it should be unfastened and removed, cleaned by hand and reinstalled. If this does not help, then the sensor is most likely faulty and needs to be replaced.

It is designed to shut off the heating system when the hot water tap on the mixer is opened. If the valve does not work, the boiler does not switch to heating water for DHW from heating water for heating. The first reason for its failure may be clogging with corrosion products, which needs to be removed.

When scale gets into the valve, it interferes with its normal switching. Because of this, part of the coolant is discharged into the heating system. As a result, the amount of coolant for heating water in the secondary heat exchanger decreases and the gas double-circuit boiler does not heat hot water. What if scale gets into the secondary heat exchanger itself? Then the normal circulation of the coolant through the small boiler circuit is disrupted. In turn, this leads to a decrease in the amount of heat required for heating. It is worth considering installing special magnetic or electromagnetic filters to help fight scale formation.
