Panel radiators
For heating appliances of any type, high-quality painting is very important: it not only improves the aesthetic appearance, but also protects the metal from oxidation. Therefore, painting is one of the key moments of production. Purmo radiators are painted using technology used in the automotive industry: first they are immersed in a bath with a priming solution, and then a special type of paint is applied in an electrostatic field. As a result, the paint coating adheres perfectly to the metal surface, does not peel off or swell even with temperature changes.
Connection options for panel radiators
In the basic version, all products are painted white, but if necessary, you can order any color from the standard palette, which is more than 700 shades.
Basic model Purmo Compact (Purmo Compact)
This is a panel steel radiator with a corrugated front panel. Side connection - four outlets with ½" internal thread. Available in the following types: 11, 12 (or 21 - this is the same thing), 22, 33. The first number indicates the number of panels through which the coolant flows, the second - the number of additional convection panels. The more panels, the more powerful the radiator will be, but its depth will also be greater. They can be used in both one-pipe and two-pipe closed systems.
The technical parameters are as follows:
- The thickness of the sheet on the panel is 1.25 mm.
- The pitch between the vertical channels for the coolant is 33 mm.
- Height from 300 mm to 900 mm (in increments of 100 mm).
- Length from 400 mm to 3000 mm (up to 1200, increments of 100 mm, then variable).
- The power varies over a very wide range: from 289 W (type 11, size 300*400 mm) to 13058 W (type 33, size 900*3000 mm).
- The price also depends on the type and size: from 44 to 598 euros.
- Ph from 8 to 9.5.
- Working pressure - up to 10 Bar, test pressure up to 13 Bar;
- Coolant temperature up to +110oC.
- The warranty period is 10 years.
The same model can be produced with a bottom connection. Then it is called Purmo Ventil Compact. In this modification, the coolant pipes can be located at the bottom right or left (specify the type you need when ordering). There is another modification with a bottom connection, Purmo Ventil Compact M. It differs from the previous model in that the bottom entrance is located in the middle. This option is convenient because you can simply remove the pipes and not mount the radiator for now, which is undesirable and problematic with a side connection.
This is what the simplest Purmo Compact model looks like
In all models with a coolant supply from below, a thermostatic valve is installed at the factory. The valve is pre-configured, so it does not need to be adjusted (adjustment is needed if its operating mode does not suit you).
The connections to the radiators cannot be confused with the bottom connection.
“Purmo” panel radiators with bottom connections are designed for installation in two-pipe systems (for a one-pipe system, the hydraulic resistance of the valve will be too large). The technical characteristics are completely the same as the base model, there is a difference in price - they are about 20 euros more expensive (the cost of the valve).
Technical characteristics of Purmo Compact
Smooth panel battery Purmo Planora (PCV) or Plan Compact
This is a version of a steel radiator with a smooth front panel.

- Heights 200 mm, 300 mm, 500 mm, 600 mm and 900 mm.
- Length from 400 mm to 3000 mm (up to 1200, increments of 100 mm, then variable).
- The power varies over a very wide range: from 265 W (type 11, size 300*400 mm) to 8775 W (type 33, size 600*3000 mm).
- The price also depends on the type and size: from 44 to 598 euros.
- Working pressure - up to 10 Bar, test pressure up to 13 Bar;
- Coolant temperature up to +110oC.
- Ph from 8 to 9.5
- The warranty period is 10 years.
Panel radiator with smooth surface
When installing any Purmo radiator with a bottom connection, you need to remember that the supply pipe is on the left, and the return pipe is on the right.
Front panel with horizontal stripes Purmo Ramo Compact
Wide horizontal stripes are stamped on the front panel. This modification is available with side and bottom connections. For the bottom connection the word Ventil is added. Five types are available: 11, 21, 22, 33, 44. Technical characteristics of “Purmo Ramo Compact”:
- The thickness of the sheet on the panel is 1.25 mm.
- The pitch between the vertical channels for the coolant is 33 mm.
- Height from 200 mm, 300 mm, 500 mm.
- Length from 400 mm to 3000 mm (up to 1200, increments of 100 mm, then variable).
- The power varies over a very wide range: from 265 W (type 21, size 300*400 mm) to 7567 W (type 33, size 500*3000 mm).
- The price also depends on the type and size: from 75 to 721 euros.
- Working pressure - up to 10 Bar, test pressure up to 13 Bar;
- Coolant temperature up to +110oC.

Special type Purmo Hygiene (Hygiene)
Any of the above options can be produced without additional fin plates. This will be the Purmo Hygiene type. Such radiators are necessary in hospitals and clinics, as well as for those who have allergic diseases.
Perforated metal plates significantly increase heat transfer, but the small distances between them make cleaning difficult and troublesome: no brushes or even a steam generator can clean them, which is unacceptable for medical institutions. Also, without additional panels, the share of radiant heat increases and the percentage of convective heat transfer decreases, which is important for public places. Available in three types: 10, 20, 30.
The “Hygiene” model does not contain additional ribs, so they are easy to wash
There are Purmo Hygiene options - this is a modification of the Compact model with a side connection, Ventil Hygiene - also but with a right or left bottom connection, Ventil Hygiene M - the bottom connection is located in the center of the heater. There are similar models in the Purmo Plan Hygiene modification. There is also a model “Ventil” and “Ventil M”.
Vertical panel radiator Purmo Vertical (Purmo Vertical)
This unusual model will fit well into those rooms where there are few free horizontal surfaces, and large thermal power is required. There are immediately four pipes for the side connection and two located in the center for the bottom. Coolant supply options are shown in the figure.
How to connect a vertical panel radiator Purmo Vertical
Types of vertical panel radiator - 10, 20, 21, 22.
- The pitch between the vertical channels for the coolant is 50 mm.
- Height 1500 mm, 1800 mm, 1950 mm, 2100 mm, 2300 mm.

Vertical radiators from Purmo - you can’t tell they’re batteries
Based on the technical characteristics, we can say unequivocally - this is a model for private houses, or for multi-storey houses with an independent heating system, the parameters of which are not higher than those specified for the radiator.
Radiator with ventilation Purmo Air
Modern metal-plastic windows retain heat well, but completely block the access of fresh air to the room. Lack of oxygen can lead to poor health and the development of diseases. The Purmo Air radiator is installed on an external wall, a hole is made in it, from where air comes from the street. It goes directly to the built-in filter, and then passes through the radiator and heats up. It turns out that this type of heating device is a miniature heated ventilation system.
This is how PURMO Air looks like – a radiator with ventilation
Structurally, the Purmo Air system consists of a standard panel radiator 11, 22, 33 and a small set of ventilation and filtering equipment that is installed behind it.
- Types 11, 22, 33
- Length from 700 mm to 3000 mm,
- Widths 300 mm, 450 mm, 600 mm, 750 mm.
- The price also depends on the type and size: from 135 to 526 euros.
- Working pressure - up to 6 Bar, test pressure up to 8 Bar;
- Coolant temperature up to +110oC.
- Ph from 8 to 9.5.
- The warranty period is 10 years.
The photo shows that there is a filter station under the radiator
A variety of models and types, capacities and dimensions, the ability to paint the radiator in any color - all this makes it possible to choose a Pumo panel radiator for any room. But once again we draw your attention to the fact that they are only suitable for closed-type systems (with a low oxygen content and a small amount of suspended particles in the coolant). That is, they will perform best in individual heating systems.
PURMO Compact - Heat output
Thermal power [Q] of radiators at air temperature in the heated room ti = 20oC (height and length in mm.)
We have the pleasure to inform you that thanks to the work of our engineers from the international R&D group Rettig ICC, we were able to increase the thermal power of PURMO radiators. Improvements concerned the internal design of our products, as well as manufacturing technology.
Studies carried out by the ISO certified research institute in Stuttgart, Germany, have confirmed that their efficiency increases depending on the size of the radiators. So, for example, the thermal power of the C/V 22 600 1000 radiator increased by 3.76%.

Tubular radiators
Steel tubular radiators are very decorative even in the simplest design, provided they are made of high quality. And Purmo radiators are famous for their quality. Structurally, this type of heating device consists of two section heads (upper and lower), which are stamped from a steel sheet. Steel pipes are then welded to them. There can be from two to six rows of pipes (or columns), and the depth of the section changes accordingly. The finished sections are welded together into a single radiator, after which it is tested for leaks, then undergoes anti-corrosion treatment and painted (in any color from the RAL palette).
The appearance and reliability of tubular steel radiators largely depends on the quality of the welds. At Purmo enterprises, laser welding is used, the process is controlled by computers, so the connecting seams are reliable and visually indistinguishable. It seems that this is a single structure.
Some models of Purmo steel tubular radiators
Delta Laserline and Delta Laserline VT
The classic shape for this type of radiator, but in a special design: the pipes are not round in shape, but with a cross-section that resembles the letter D. This gives an increase in heating area, and therefore more power with smaller dimensions.
A very wide range of models allows you to choose a heating device for any conditions and any preferences. General technical specifications are as follows:
- Length from 200 mm to 2500 mm (from 2 to 50 sections).
- Height from 155 mm to 3000 mm (any height is possible upon request with precision down to the millimeter).
- The depth depends on the number of pipes in the section: 2 pipes - 63 mm
- 3-pipe - 101 mm
- 4-pipe - 139 mm
- 5-pipe - 177 mm
- 6-pipe - 215 mm
Delta Laserline is the most “ordinary” of Purmo tubular radiators
The Delta Laserline VT modification is a tubular radiator with a bottom connection. The coolant supply pipes can be located on the right or left, as well as in the center (only in versions with an even number of sections). A thermostatic valve is installed on any of the batteries.
Tall radiators Delta Twin M
This tubular radiator is an ideal choice in areas where there is not enough free horizontal space for a battery of the required power. Only a two-pipe version is available, with a lower central connection. The mounting brackets (four pieces) are welded to the rear panel, the brackets are included.
Vertical tubular radiator Delta Twin M
The technical characteristics of “Purmo Delta Twin” indicate that they can even work in central heating systems, but always with an independent connection (check with the management campaign):
- Length 500 mm and 600 mm (10 and 12 sections).
- Height 1000 mm, 1200 mm, 1500 mm, 1800 mm, 2000 mm.
- Depth - 63 mm.
- Thermal power from 753 W (size 500*1000 mm) to 1762 W (size 600*2000 mm).
- Working pressure - up to 10 Bar, test pressure up to 15 Bar.
- Coolant temperature up to +120oC.
- Ph from 8 to 9.5.
- The warranty period is 10 years.
Practical Purmo Delta Bar
This battery can be designed in the form of a table or bench; it can be used as a dividing partition between zones in the room.

The only connection is possible: supply at the bottom left in the outer section (in the left leg), return pipeline at the bottom right (in the right leg). Supplied without top cover. Standard painting is white varnish, upon request - any color from the RAL palette. The pipe connections are hidden, so few will guess that this is not a designer table, but a heating radiator. The technical specifications are as follows:
- Length 720 mm (700 mm without tabletop), 920 mm (900 mm), 1120 mm (110 mm).
- Height 940 mm (750 mm without tabletop), 1090 mm (900 mm without tabletop).
- Depth: 4-pipe 224 mm;
- 5-pipe 262 mm.
Stylish Delta Column Bench
Decorative design radiator that can serve as a stand, table or dividing element for zoning a room.

Unlike the Delta Bar model, the pipes here are arranged horizontally - from four to seven six-column sections. Only bottom connection, supply on the left, return on the right (hidden in the legs).
- Length 1535 mm 2835 mm.
- Height 387 mm (200 mm without tabletop), 437 mm (250 mm); 487 mm (300 mm), 537 mm (350 mm).
- Depth 300 mm.
- Thermal power from 1411 W (4 sections, 1500 mm long) to 4247 W (7 sections, 2800 mm long).
- Working pressure - up to 10 Bar, test pressure up to 15 Bar.
- Coolant temperature up to +120oC.
- Ph from 8 to 9.5.
- The warranty period is 10 years.
Basic technical specifications and features
The side surfaces are protected by special safety elements, the top surface is covered with a bar. Two lower connection holes at floor level and four side ones. All holes have a G 1/2″ thread. The battery looks modern and even stylish in some ways.
Purmo Hygiene radiators are panel batteries without convection and safety elements, mainly intended for use in medical facilities, as well as the food industry, and other facilities with increased hygienic requirements. Side holes in each corner of the radiator with G1/2 thread inside
All heating elements of the Purmo brand are made of 1.25 mm cold-rolled steel, and only the Planora series has a wall thickness of up to 2 mm.
The metal parts of the device are painted using high-tech second-generation cataphoresis, electrostatic spraying.
This significantly increases corrosion resistance. At the final stage, the products are coated with snow-white epoxy enamel (according to the RAL-9016 scale), but upon individual order, a batch of goods can be painted in any shade.
During the manufacturing process, radiators are specially tested for tightness by creating strong pressure in the system, up to 12 atmospheres. It is important that complete drainage of the coolant from the battery is excluded. When operating radiators, its losses should not exceed 10%. So, if it is necessary to repair a limited area of the heating system, you should drain the water only from the segment being repaired, but not empty the entire system.
Without high-quality radiators it is impossible to create an effective heating system. The rapid and uniform heating of the room depends on this element. Finnish Purmo radiators have all the technical characteristics necessary to create a comfortable microclimate in the house.
Installation recommendations
When installing under a window sill, the following distances must be observed: from the floor and window sill at least 10-12 cm. If the distance is 7-10 cm, the power must be increased by 5-10%. An even shorter distance will make heating completely ineffective. In this case, you need to choose a radiator with a smaller height.
The pipework must be done in such a way that after completion of the work there is no tension left, either in the pipes or in the fittings. During installation, radiators must not be heated (for example, with a blowtorch).
Reviews
“I have had Purmo Plan Ventil for two years. Amazing radiators. Convection is powerful, heats up instantly. This summer I changed the wallpaper, I just unscrewed it and then installed it. Everything is on gaskets, no sealants or flax. But they hold up great. Well, I bought their fittings too. Now I also installed their heated towel rails. I really liked their products. 100% satisfied.”

I installed Purmo tubular ones. They warm well, even better than before, but I’m generally silent about the appearance.
Nizhny Novgorod
We installed panel Purmo, the appearance is very pleasing. But what is confusing is the sounds they sometimes make when heated. It’s difficult to describe, something reminiscent of the sound of unbending steel. And they heat very well.”

Results
Purmo steel radiators are either panel or tubular. In each category there is a large selection of sizes and capacities; it is possible to install both batteries with side and bottom connections. Both in panel and pipe versions there is a version of a high radiator, which will provide heat to a room where there is not a sufficiently large free horizontal surface. Pipe design radiators are available in the form of benches or tables of different formats, which will serve as both a heating device and a piece of furniture.
Procedure for connecting Purmo radiators
For effective heating, it is important to connect the batteries correctly. And here it is important to remember the following points.
- Most often, radiators are connected using the side method. In this case, the user can connect the device both on the left and on the right. To do this, it is necessary to attach the discharge element to the upper branch pipe , while the return pipe must be connected to the lower one. Connection errors can lead to a reduction in heat transfer and power of the device by at least 25%.
- If you have to deal with Purmo radiators, whose length is at least 2 m, then it is advisable to use the cross connection method for them. When water enters the pipe, it is connected from above to the bottom, which is opposite to the pipe.
- If the connection pipes are located in a floor plinth, then it is advisable to use a saddle-shaped option. With this method, the loss of thermal power does not exceed 10%.
- The bottom connection method has become widespread in cases where radiators equipped with bottom connections are installed. It is important that the pipe through which the coolant will flow is located at a distance of 80 mm from the end of the radiator. In this case, the return line must be placed at 30 mm.
