Geyser Mora: an excellent solution for home and garden

The Mora geyser is a Czech-made product from the company MORA-TOP, which has been producing heating and hot water equipment for almost two hundred years. In this review, we propose to consider the most popular lines of speakers of this brand, learn about their key characteristics and get acquainted with the opinions of users. This way you can make a conclusion whether it’s worth buying the Mora column or continuing to look for products from another brand.

Useful tips to ensure long and reliable operation of geysers

  1. Installation and connection must be carried out by qualified specialists. Often the quality of its operation depends on how the gas water heater is configured.
  2. It is necessary to regularly clean the igniter and heat exchanger from combustion products (it is strange to blame the column for blockages). This will significantly extend the “lifespan” of the device.
  3. In old houses with too low water pressure in the system, it is better to install special pumps. With stable water pressure, automatic start-up occurs without problems, and the heating temperature will be maintained more correctly.
  4. Important recommendations from the manufacturer as stated in the user manual must be followed.

Mora's main speaker lines

Gas water heaters are represented by a number of lines; we will consider the most popular of them, focusing on the characteristics of individual models.

VEGA MAX

VEGA MAX wall-mounted speakers replaced the old Mora devices 370, 371, 5502 and 5502. What is their main advantage: the connecting dimensions have not changed, so for those whose old column has already served its useful life, it will be easy to replace it with a new heater .

Suitable for both residential and non-residential premises with a thermal power of 17.3 kW. The consumption is 10 liters per 1 minute.

The heaters are equipped with high quality parts:

  • Mertik water and gas fittings are made in Germany.
  • Gas and ignition burners, heat exchanger made of Czech-made copper.

These devices are equipped with automatic support for water temperature, without reference to its volume. There are options with both piezo ignition and electric ignition (from two R20 1.5 V batteries).

All gas appliances are highly safe, therefore, if there is no water flow, the gas valve will not operate and combustion products will not enter the room.

VEGA

The wall-mounted heater Mora Vega 10 and its “brothers” from the “Vega” line are positioned by the manufacturer as a completely new “star product”.

Minimum dimensions, combined with an ultra-modern design solution of the body, complemented by impeccable heater parameters, make these boilers one of the best among analogues that are on the market today.

Advantages of the line

  • modest dimensions;
  • ease of technical and user maintenance;
  • full automatic operation;
  • saving resources up to 10%;
  • Efficiency up to 92%;
  • the most economical way to provide hot water supply (DHW);
  • smooth regulation of power modes;
  • maintaining user-selected water temperature.

Device dimensions

  • Height: for VEGA 10 - 59.2 cm, for 12 and 16 - 65.9 cm.
  • Width: for VEGA 10 - 32 cm, for 13 and 16 - 40 cm.
  • Depth: for VEGA 10 - 26.1 cm, in versions 13 and 16 - similar.

These are one of the most compact water heaters on the market, which also feature the smallest smoke channel diameter of only 11 cm.

Comfort level

  • Flow-through heaters "Vega" 10, operating on gas, are equipped with German fittings, thanks to which the equipment starts up with a water flow of only 2.5 liters in 1 minute.
  • This fittings provide for automatic maintenance of specified water temperature levels, which is especially important when the pressure (pressure) in the water supply network is unstable.

Economy parameters

Columns such as Vega 10 have some of the highest efficiency rates in the world - almost 92%. A small but quite effective heat exchanger warms up the incoming water 15% faster than any similar device from another brand.

Reliability

Design solutions and innovations ensure the maximum degree of reliability of all MORA TOP units:

  • The moving parts of the device are fenced off from the water environment, so leaks in less dense joints are excluded. In other devices, leaks are possible, which necessitates replacing the entire gas-water unit, and this costs a lot of money - sometimes up to half the cost of the entire device.
  • Inside the heat exchanger, there are turbulators in the tubes that push scale away from the walls of the unit, thereby accelerating heating and extending the operating life of the device.
  • The diameter of the heat exchanger tubes, equal to 18 mm, not only prevents salts from settling on the walls, but also helps to cool the walls of the entire unit, eliminating overheating of the casing.

Security Settings

For safety reasons, the following points and design features are provided:

  • Limiter of water overheating in the heat exchanger.
  • Backdraft fuse for combustion products - it will prevent waste from entering the room if the chimney is clogged.
  • A special flame fuse that ensures the serviceability of both burners (main and pilot).
  • If there is no water flow, the device will not start the burner.

Additionally

Also, the units of the series are equipped with some technical solutions to facilitate operation:

  • Piezoelectric ignition.
  • The removal of waste combustion products through a chimney with a minimum neck diameter (gas) of only 11.5 cm.
  • Possibility of using natural gas.

Geyser Mora Top: installation and operating instructions

The Mora Top line of wall-mounted Czech speakers consists of several models with different performance characteristics. In the floor-standing series, the Mora 100 NTR boiler is distinguished by its quality and efficiency. The most powerful wall-mounted model is considered to be Vega 16, capable of passing up to 15.2 liters of water per minute. The Vega 10 gas boiler is considered the most affordable of the Top line. All models are produced in a compact body and differ only in the type of ignition (models marked “E” have electric ignition).

When installing and putting the column into operation, you must follow these recommendations:

  • Connection of equipment that has been in a cold environment for a long time should be carried out no earlier than after 120 minutes;
  • When installing the boiler, it is necessary to leave at least 10 cm from its side walls to the nearest objects and adjacent walls;
  • There should be a distance of 40 cm or more above the boiler;
  • When installing a thermostat, you should use a device with a potential-free output contact: the thermostat should not supply voltage to the water heater;
  • It is strictly prohibited to store explosive substances near the boiler.

The installation and operation instructions for the water heater do not recommend connecting the equipment with your own hands. It is better to install a strainer at the entrance to the system. It will allow you to extend the service life of the membrane and filter of the water receiving unit of the column, and heat exchanger tubes.

Neva-Transit VPG-6E

Mikhail, 38 years old In the store we were told that it is best to buy geysers from domestic manufacturers - they say they are inexpensive, easy to repair, and work reliably. They recommended taking the VPG-6E model, and we decided to listen to the advice. This is not to say that the unit works without failures. Firstly, 10 months after purchase it began to drip - the heat exchanger had leaked. And secondly, without a display it turned out to be not very convenient to control the temperature. My cousin, who works as a heating engineer, said that it was better not to buy such equipment in the future - it is no different from Chinese heaters.

Advantages:

  • “Iron” ignition activation when opening the tap;
  • Small thickness of the case - only 14 cm;
  • Easy to install yourself - the device weighs only 6 kg.

Flaws:

  • It is inconvenient to set the temperature - it is better to buy models with a display;
  • The problem with the batteries is that they run out quickly;
  • It seems to me that the manufacturer is saving on heat exchangers - they are very thin here, in old water heaters they were better and thicker.

Not the most successful model, there are better ones.

Gas water heaters Mora Top Vega

By purchasing a gas water heater, you will solve the problem of supplying hot water in your apartment or at your summer cottage. The characteristic advantages of geysers are the small size of the body, fairly low purchase costs and excellent thermal efficiency. A suitable solution for equipping private and apartment buildings with hot water is Mora Tor geysers.

They have a multi-level security system and a simple device. The manufacturer also produces geysers that use piezo ignition and run on batteries. The manufacturer produces two lines of gas boilers, which differ in operating principles. Semi-automatic dispensers, in the housing of which 2 gas burners are installed: pilot and main.

  1. First, the igniter is lit using a piezoelectric element in order to start the column.
  2. After this, the column can operate completely in auto mode.
  3. Piezoelectric ignition allows you to reduce the price of the device by about 1/3.
  4. Mora automatic speakers do not have an ignition wick.
  5. Battery-powered electric ignition is used.
  6. When the DHW tap is opened, a spark appears on the main burner, which ignites the flame.
  7. The gas supply is automatically closed after the water supply point is turned off.
  8. The column turns off when the flame goes out.

Car speakers are the most convenient to use.

The only negative is the dependence on batteries, as batteries usually last for several months of operation. Despite the disadvantage of having to light the burner every day, semi-automatic models are more reliable.

The principle of the Mora Top Vega speakers

Mora gas boilers are reliable and simple equipment manufactured by a Czech company. The speakers perfectly solve the main task of quickly heating water, despite the lack of additional functions. Mora geysers have an internal structure consisting of the following components:

  • copper heat exchanger;
  • mechanical control unit
  • semi-automatic and automatic ignition unit; draft and water pressure sensors (control and shut-off valves);
  • stainless steel burner
  • The shortest service life of the speaker is 10-12 years due to high-quality assembly.

With systematic maintenance, the service life can increase to 15-20 years.

Installation of a geyser

The connection must be made by highly qualified specialists who have the appropriate work permit and license. After installing the boiler, they draw up a report, the form of which is in the technical passport of the unit, after which a stamp is placed on the introduction of the column into operating mode. A coarse filter is mounted on the supply pipeline, and sometimes a booster pump is connected at low pressure.

Burner

There are several types of MORA-TOP geysers, in which the burner design is slightly different:

  1. Semi-automatic boilers. The housing consists of the main and pilot burners. Before starting, the igniter is ignited, then operation occurs in automatic mode. This type of speaker is one third cheaper, but they are more reliable.
  2. Automatic boilers. Their main difference is the absence of an ignition wick. Instead, electronic ignition is used, which, when the tap is opened, supplies a spark to the main gas burner, due to which ignition occurs. When turned off, the gas supply is automatically cut off and the flame goes out. They are more convenient to use, but you often have to change the batteries on electronic ignition.

Possible malfunctions and ways to eliminate them

It is better to immediately contact the service center if the warranty period has not yet expired. Representatives of the company from the Czech Republic work in almost all major cities. Here are a few problems that users encounter most often:

  1. The water doesn't heat up well. Most often this is due to incorrect settings. You need to look for special recommendations and tables. Usually manufacturers themselves give suitable advice.
  2. The wick goes out when the heater is working normally.

A common cause is insufficient traction. The condition of the chimney ducts is checked first. The water heater is accurately installed with irregularities, if the pipe is clean, but the draft sensor still works. This means that there is not enough oxygen in the boiler room for normal operation. The problem can be solved by installing a supply and exhaust valve. The main thing is not to choose bad cheap analogues.

  1. Presence of a leak.

Most likely, the rubber membrane at the water reducer has broken. Corrosion eats away at the heat exchanger. It is recommended to install copper coils in places of leaks.

  1. The main burner does not turn on. Sometimes Thor models also suffer from this.

This usually happens when the batteries run out. Or due to poor water pressure, lack of oxygen indoors in sufficient volumes.

Note!

Failure of the water unit gearbox is also a common failure. Inside the block there are rubber gaskets that quickly break due to water pressure. On average, the membrane needs to be changed every 5-8 years.

Service centers and official stores are the best places to purchase spare parts for geysers. Then there is no doubt about the quality of consumables.

Specifications

The minimum service life of geysers from this company is ten to twelve years. With regular maintenance and repairs, the MORA-TOP geyser can last up to twenty years.

MORA-TOP VEGA MAX – wall-mounted units. The columns use water-gas fittings and Czech copper. Equipped with automatic temperature support. Can be semi-automatic or automatic.

MORA-TOP VEGA 10 is a new generation device. It has a small size, modern design, and is considered the best in the market of thermal and water heating equipment.

Design features - the presence of an overheating limiter and a flame fuse. The device will not start the gas burner if there is no pressure. Units with the letter E in the name have electric ignition.

Possible problems

No matter how well Czech and German developers treat their responsibilities, geysers can still cause various failures. Problems in water and gas units may be associated with mechanical defects in the water heaters themselves or with deformation of the supply cables. Also, as with other columns, problems are often created by:

  • clogged heat exchangers;
  • scale deposits on pipes;
  • weak liquid pressure.

At the input to the column there is a filter in the form of a grid. It is designed to trap small debris moving with the flow of water. But since the mesh itself inevitably becomes clogged with this dirt, it needs to be cleaned periodically. When the column does not light up or goes out too quickly after starting operation, the reason for this development is almost certainly due to wear of the membrane. An element that continuously stretches under pressure fails over time, becomes overstretched, or breaks completely.

If you hear a pop when igniting and the wick immediately goes out, the fuse is dirty. Clean it by removing the casing and unscrewing the tubes of the draft indicator and the gas supply channel. In addition to the fuse itself, it is better to immediately free the wick and nozzles from dirt. In a situation where these measures do not produce results, the solenoid valve will have to be replaced. If there is a spark that does not ignite the burner, it is necessary to inspect and tighten the wiring of the ionization controller and clean its contacts.

Model Vega 10

This is another promising model from the Czech company. Its characteristic advantages are, in addition to its brilliant design, compact dimensions and technological excellence. The thermal generation rating is 17.3 kW, and the spread in the amount of water received (when heated to 25 degrees) is from 5 to 10 liters. The device is able to operate in an automated mode and consume 10% less gas than other products of comparable power. The efficiency of up to 92%, as well as the smoothness of power control, also receive positive feedback from customers.

Combined fittings from Germany are capable of turning on the column even at a pressure of 2.5 liters in 1 minute. Other designs of the same kind do not provide this opportunity.

What is important is that the German developers also made sure that a strictly specified temperature was maintained. This allows you to extinguish the negative effect associated with pressure surges

Refusal to operate moving parts in water prevents the disadvantage of most columns - a high risk of leakage at the intersection of water and gas fittings.

Replacing the membrane

If the gas does not turn on or the burner flame is very weak, the membrane in the water unit may be stretched or damaged. Water may also start leaking from the water block. In a Mora water heater, the water unit is located horizontally.

To get to the rubber membrane, first unscrew the union nuts for water supply and outlet from below. Then the heat exchanger tube going to the rear wall is unscrewed. Use a star screwdriver to unscrew the four bolts and remove the cover of the water block. Three springs are removed and a new membrane is installed.

It is important to buy a membrane designed specifically for your model, as there are now many configurations available. After replacement, all components are assembled in the reverse order, the operation of the device is tested

Replacing the membrane in a gas water heater

Water part of the gas water heater: main faults

Often, problems with the operation of the column relate to problems in the gas-water unit system. In order to be able to troubleshoot problems yourself, if necessary, you need to know how the water part of the column works.

Thus, the gas-water block of the column consists of:

  • Membrane and disc;
  • Water temperature regulator;
  • Water supply regulator when the mixer is open and closed;
  • Venturi nozzle;
  • A mesh filter at the entrance to the unit.

Malfunctions in the unit can occur both under the influence of external factors (for example, due to damage to the speaker housing, power cable) and due to wear and tear of the equipment. Most often, incorrect operation of water heating gas equipment is associated with low quality tap water, low water and gas pressure, and clogged ventilation pipes.

The most common internal failures of Mora geysers are:

  • Clogged inlet water filter of the water intake unit;
  • Deformation or clogging of the membrane of the gas-water unit;
  • Blockages in the heat exchanger pipes.

In addition, often the reason for the incorrect operation of the electric speaker is the discharge of the power elements (batteries).

What to do if the Mora column does not light up

If the Mora column stops igniting, it is necessary to check the equipment for depressurization (leaks) and external damage (both the housing and the power cable). In addition, you should make sure that there is ventilation draft and good cold water pressure. You can try changing the batteries in the electric speaker.

If the column does not light up even after this, then you need to:

  1. Clean the filter and membrane of the water intake unit from dirt. To do this, you need to hold the parts under high pressure of water.
  2. If there are breaks in the membrane or deformation of its edges, replace the element. At the same time, it is better to replace the old membrane with a silicone one: the service life of the second one is longer.
  3. Clean the ignition wick if the column ignites with pops and then immediately goes out.
  4. Replace the solenoid valve or servomotor if cleaning the wick does not help.
  5. Clean the ionization sensor electrode if there are ignition sparks, but the column does not light up.

All repair work must be carried out with the water and gas supply turned off. If the column does not turn on after all the manipulations, you need to contact a specialist.

A little about the company

MORA-TOP began its 185-year history as a subsidiary of MORA MORAVIA AS. And only in 2003 it became independent. In the spring of next year, construction of the plant began in the Czech town of Unicov. The capacity occupied 5,000 square meters and was built in less than a year, so that in the spring of 2005 the world saw the first Mora instantaneous gas water heater produced at the new factory.

Today the company has a fully established technological chain for the production of equipment, including:

  • Technology for processing copper and manufacturing heat exchangers, as well as stamping, degreasing stage, soldering and painting.
  • Production of structural thermoelements.
  • Assembly of finished products within the assembly line.
  • Mandatory testing of devices.

Features of Mora Top geysers

We managed to win the sympathy of buyers thanks to a number of unique characteristics inherent in modern models:

  • The presence of so-called “dry start” fuses. Without water, the burner simply will not light.
  • Control of burner operation using a fuse. This is how any Mora device works, a gas water heater is no exception.
  • Combustion products are prevented from entering the building thanks to a backdraft preventer. Water heaters can be installed inside any premises.

  • Protection with a special limiter that controls the water temperature. Overheating of the device is practically excluded.
  • From 115 mm - the diameter of the gas outlet neck of Mora geysers.
  • The diameter of the tubes is up to 18 millimeters. Special turbulators are mounted on the internal surfaces. They prevent scale buildup.
  • The heating rate is 15% higher compared to analogues due to the design of the heat exchanger.
  • Automatically maintains temperature if the water speed changes while the Mora is running.
  • Fittings from the German manufacturer Mertik. At a flow rate of 2.5 liters per minute or more, the column starts to turn on.

Note! The market price of most models does not exceed 16 thousand rubles.* The consumer properties of the Mora dispenser are higher compared to existing analogues

Advantages and disadvantages

Heating a home and hot water supply are two main issues that can be resolved by any buyer who decides to purchase gas water heaters. Cost-effectiveness and compact size are among the main positive aspects of the devices.

There are other characteristics that can attract buyers:

  • The security system that Mora Top speakers are equipped with.
  • High quality burner design. The igniter is completely protected from any contamination and damage.
  • High efficiency, reaching 94% under any circumstances.
  • Equipment works efficiently. Even pressure up to 0.2 atmospheres does not prevent the creation of such an effect in the Mora gas instantaneous water heater.
  • Over time, heat exchangers do not leak. This is facilitated by the use of copper as one of the main materials.
  • No noise when operating the Mora water heater.

Interesting! The disadvantage is that it is difficult to find parts for some models. Especially if they were released quite a long time ago. Mora gas water heaters are cheaper than existing analogues, but some buyers consider existing prices too high.

Czech gas water heater Mora: design, advantages and disadvantages

The Mora gas water heater is a flow-type device that allows you to provide hot water to an apartment, private house and cottage. The column consists of an igniter, a gas burner, a heat exchanger, and a gas-water valve block.

The principle of operation of the column is quite simple: when the tap is opened, the igniter ignites the burner, which heats the water in the heat exchanger.

Passing through the heat exchanger tubes, the water is heated and enters the heating and hot water supply system. When the tap is closed, the ignition goes out and the column turns off. Different Mora speakers can have different types of ignition: from a piezoelectric element and from rechargeable batteries (electric). The equipment runs on natural gas, but, if necessary, it can be switched to the mode of using liquefied fuel. Such multifunctionality of the speakers is extremely important for the implementation of continuous heating and hot water supply in country houses and cottages not connected to the gas main.

In addition, the advantages of Mohr's columns include:

  • Multi-stage safety system: the dispensers are equipped with overheating protection, reverse draft valves, burner flame and dry start fuses;
  • High efficiency (about 94%);
  • High efficiency even at water pressure from 0.2 atm;
  • Thick copper heat exchanger, which, over time, will not leak;
  • Well-thought-out burner design and igniter protection system from contamination;
  • Quiet operation.

Disadvantages of the equipment include user complaints about the lack of parts for Mora’s old equipment on the modern market, and the rather high cost of the speakers. Although, the price of the equipment does not exceed well-known analogues (such as, for example, Hayes). So, both Heis and Mora will cost the buyer 16 thousand rubles.

Mora is an excellent geyser for home and garden

Mechanisms that heat water with a burner and maintain a constant water temperature are called instantaneous water heaters or columns. All of them are based on a copper heat exchanger, with water passing through it, and a gas burner. Their performance depends on the characteristics of these elements.

Instantaneous water heaters do not pose any danger during operation. The security system depends on the manufacturer's brand. It controls the circulation of water in the heat exchangers and the burner flame. Modern appliances have many advantages: they are small and compact in size, they do not need to be connected to the electrical network, the volume of hot water is not limited, and they also allow you to save significant amounts. The only small drawback is that there must be a centralized gas supply. But this has nothing to do with urban conditions.

The high-quality copper from which the heat exchangers are made is resistant to bad water. Mora's columns are equipped with the most reliable gas-water valve blocks, their efficiency is 93.5%. Depending on your desire, you can choose with piezo ignition (constantly burning igniter), or with automatic (where ignition is carried out from batteries). Water heaters are designed in such a way that if there is no water flow, the valve does not open. In order to convert the column from natural to liquefied gas, a small reconfiguration is enough.

Despite all the positive qualities, due to the instability of domestic gas and water supply networks, frequent breakdowns of dispensers occur. Therefore, when choosing a water heater, you need to ensure that it is equipped with special sensors: gas supply, water pressure, presence of draft, presence of flame, overheating. Sensors give a signal about a malfunction, warning of more serious breakdowns. The usual, most frequent ones are breakdowns of heat exchangers in water heaters, desoldering and partial burnout of radiators due to overheating.

The serviceability of the gas valve is checked by specialists. In the event of a malfunction, repairs should be carried out by specialists, by calling whom you can get rid of the need to search, purchase and install new parts. The cost of preventative maintenance and cleaning of the device starts from 1,100 rubles, and major repairs with replacement of faulty parts starts from 3,000 rubles.

Scale deposits in the heat exchanger

Mora heat exchangers are made of high-quality copper, 1 mm thick. The water heats up inside the tubes and scale accumulates on their walls. This leads to an increase in heating time and a decrease in pressure. The main sign of clogging of the heat exchanger pipes will be that water flows actively from the tap, but the pressure through the column is weaker.

To clean scale yourself, you should remove the casing from the water heater, drain the water and unscrew the union nuts from the heat exchanger outlets. After this, a special liquid for dissolving salts, which is sold at a hardware store, is poured into the tubes using a hose. Instead, you can use a solution with citric acid or vinegar. You will need to wait a few hours for complete cleaning.

Next, the apparatus is assembled in the opposite order. The water valve and tap at the watershed point are gradually turned on. A cloudy liquid will come out. The pressure should increase and heating should occur faster.

For prevention, the heating temperature should be set to no more than 50 degrees. If the temperature is higher, scale deposits especially actively.

Radiator contamination

The radiator is made up of metal plates with a small distance between them. Since they are exposed to the flame from the burner, soot accumulates between them over time.

Gas water heater radiator

This can be seen from the yellow color of the fire. The flame can be directed not in the upward direction, but to the side, thereby heating the casing. The water takes longer to heat up even when the column is running at full power, and black soot pours out from under the device.

For repairs, you should remove the column shell, disconnect the heat exchanger pipes and completely dismantle it, first covering the burner with a rag so that it does not become clogged. The most convenient way to clean the radiator is in the bathroom under running water. If necessary, it is left to limp in a container with chemicals. At the end, it is cleaned with a soft long bristled brush, dried and installed back.

Installation

Before installing the geyser, you must select the location where it will be located. The room must be equipped with high-quality ventilation, and the walls must be made of non-combustible materials. Installing the column is usually not difficult. Let's look at the step-by-step process of installing a Mora gas water heater:

First of all, the equipment is attached to the wall. Next, use the standard brackets that are included in the kit. It is necessary to pay attention to the strength of the wall. Next, you can install hot and cold water pipes. It is recommended to install inlet pipes in front of the shut-off valves. It is also advisable to arrange a gasket made of non-combustible material between the device and the wall. Next, the chimney is connected. The diameter of the pipes must be no less than the diameter of the outlet of the device

The chimney must be made of a material that is not affected by high temperatures and combustion products. The last point is the gas connection. It is better to entrust such work to specialists.

Fistulas in the heat exchanger

One of the most common failures of Mohr columns is the appearance of microholes on the heat exchanger tubes. To detect them, you need to carefully inspect it with the tap turned off (this achieves maximum pressure inside). Some leaks will be visible by drops of water, the smallest fistulas will be visible by green or rusty stains.

Before starting repair work, the water is drained. You can fix the problem in the following ways:

  1. Install the rubber gasket, securing it with a metal clamp on top. This is one of the simplest, fastest and most reliable methods. True, it can only be used if there is free space around the tube.
  2. Use cold welding. Before purchasing, you should pay attention to the temperature for which it is intended. Please note that the heat exchanger heats up more than the outlet water. After degreasing and cleaning, a layer of cold welding 1-2 mm thick is applied to the leak site.

  3. The most reliable way is soldering. First, the fistula is cleaned, degreased and a layer of flux is applied to it. Next, use a torch with a gas can or a powerful soldering iron to seal the hole. The solder should cover the tube completely. If several fistulas are close, you need to solder a copper plate to this place.

At the end, the water heater is filled with liquid, and the places of former leaks are carefully inspected. You need to check first with cold water, and then with hot water on.

Vega 16

This geyser is far superior to all the versions listed above. It develops thermal power up to 26.4 kW, while the minute flow rate of warm water ranges from 8 to 15.2 liters. The operation of the device involves the consumption of natural gas. The special design of the fittings ensures that the column starts already when 4 liters of water enters per minute. The heating rate due to the improved heat exchanger is increased by 15% compared to similar designs.

Additional turbulators slow down the deposition of scale particles many times over and speed up the heating of the liquid. The carefully selected diameter of the heat exchanger tubes allows for a balance between slow accumulation of salts and effective cooling of the walls. This cooling occurs without simultaneous overheating of the housing and casing. The design includes protection against leakage of flue gases into the room. There is also a fire safety device that stabilizes the action of the main burner and igniter.

Device

MORA-TOP geysers are simple and reliable equipment, but despite this they do an excellent job of their main function. Their innovative solutions provide a high degree of reliability:

  • preventing leakage by separating moving parts from water;
  • turbulators inside the heat exchanger repel scale and accelerate heating;
  • The heat exchanger tubes have d = 18 mm, therefore, by cooling the walls, overheating of the equipment is eliminated.

Their internal structure consists of the following components:

  1. Ignition block.
  2. Heat exchanger.
  3. Shut-off and control valves.
  4. Burner.
  5. Control block.
  6. Burner.
